Beautiport User Terms of Service
Effective Date: November 11, 2025
Welcome to Beautiport! Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully. These Terms are a legally binding contract between you (the "User," "you," "your") and Ara Capitals (Pvt) Ltd, the operator of the Beautiport platform ("Beautiport," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Beautiport mobile application (the "App") and its related services.
By creating an account (tapping "Continue" and verifying via OTP), accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all policies referenced herein, including our User Privacy Policy and our User Cancellation & Returns Policy.
1. The Beautiport Platform
Beautiport is a technology platform that connects Users with independent, third-party Merchant Partners ("Partners"). These Partners offer beauty and wellness services ("Services") and sell related products ("Products").
IMPORTANT: Beautiport is an intermediary platform. We do not provide, sell, or control any of the Services or Products offered by Partners. We are not a salon, spa, or retailer. The Partners are solely responsible and liable for the quality, safety, legality, and execution of the Services and Products they provide to you.
2. User Accounts & Security
To use the App, you must register for an account.
- Verification: You must register using a valid mobile phone number and verify it via a One-Time Password (OTP).
- Profile: You agree to provide accurate names and details. If you upload a profile picture, you grant us permission to display it to Partners when you make a booking.
- Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
- Account Actions: You may securely log out or clear your local app cache via the App settings. You may also permanently delete your account via the "Delete Account" option; however, this action is irreversible and erases your booking history.
3. Bookings and "Guest" Appointments
- Booking Process: You can search for Partners, select Services, Professionals, and time slots.
- Booking for Others: You may book for yourself, choose a contact, or "Add a New Guest." If you book for a guest, you represent that:
- You have obtained their consent to share their name and phone number with us.
- You accept financial responsibility for the booking.
- Merchant Confirmation: When you place a booking request, the payment amount is placed on "Hold". The booking is not final until confirmed by the Partner.
- Accepted: If the Partner accepts, the booking is confirmed, and the payment is processed.
- Rejected: If the Partner declines (or fails to respond), the held amount is released/refunded to you immediately.
4. Financial Terms: Payments, Fees & Subscriptions
You agree to pay all charges incurred in connection with your Beautiport account.
a) Service (Appointment) Payments
You must select a payment option at checkout:
- Pay in Full: You pay the total service amount through the App.
- Pay 30% (Split Payment): You pay a 30% Advance Payment through the App to secure the slot. You agree to pay the remaining 70% balance directly to the Partner at the salon/venue.
- Premium Benefit: Premium Users are only required to pay a 10% Advance Payment.
b) Product Payments
- Online Payment: Paid in full at the time of purchase.
- Cash on Delivery (COD): If available, you agree to pay the full amount in cash to the delivery agent upon receipt.
c) Payment Methods & Saved Cards
- You must provide valid credit/debit card details (Card Number, Expiry, CVV, Name).
- You may choose to save your card for future convenience. We use secure third-party payment processors; Beautiport does not store your full card details on our servers.
d) User Processing Fee
Beautiport charges a 5% User Processing Fee on the total value of all online payments made through the App. This fee covers secure gateway costs and platform maintenance and is non-refundable.
e) Premium Subscriptions
Beautiport offers an optional "Premium" subscription for a recurring monthly fee of LKR 950.
- Benefits: Lower Advance Payment (10%), shorter cancellation window (12 hours), and exclusive rewards.
- Billing: Auto-renews monthly unless canceled in settings.
- Cancellation: You may cancel anytime; fees are non-refundable for the current billing period.
5. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
All bookings and purchases are subject to the Beautiport User Cancellation & Returns Policy.
- Bookings: Cancellation fees may apply depending on when you cancel relative to the appointment time.
- Products: Returns depend on the specific Merchant Partner's policy and the condition of the item.
6. User Conduct & Chat Feature
The App includes a feature allowing you to Chat with Merchant Partners after a booking is confirmed. You agree NOT to:
- Use the Chat or App to harass, threaten, abuse, or solicit Partners for services outside the platform ("side-booking").
- Use the App for fraudulent purposes or use false identities.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse promotions.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available."
- Intermediary Role: Beautiport is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or service failure caused by a Merchant Partner.
- Delivery: Delivery times for products are estimates provided by logistics partners and are not guaranteed by Beautiport.
- Limitation: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ara Capitals (Pvt) Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account (revoking access to your history and saved items) at our sole discretion if you breach these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
