Beautiport User Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Ara Capitals (Pvt) Ltd, the operator of the Beautiport platform ("Beautiport," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Beautiport mobile application (the "App") and our related services.

By creating an account and tapping "Continue," you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to facilitate your bookings, product orders, and to provide a personalized experience.

a) Information You Provide to Us:

  • Account Registration & Verification:
    • When you create an account, we collect your mobile phone number.
    • To verify your identity, we process a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your device.
    • Upon registration, we collect your First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
  • Profile Information:
    • You may optionally add a Profile Picture. When uploading from your photo library, Beautiport will only have access to the photos you specifically select. You may also use your camera to take a photo.
    • You may provide additional personal details such as Gender and Date of Birth.
    • You can set and manage your Home Address and Shipping Addresses.
  • Booking Information (For Yourself or Others):
    • When you book a service, we collect details of the Salon/Wellness Center (Partner), Service, Professional, Date, and Time.
    • Guest Bookings: If you select "Add a new guest," we collect the Guest's Full Name and Phone Number. You represent that you have the authority to share this third-party information with us.
    • Contact List: If you select "Choose from contacts," we request permission to access your device's contact list to populate the booking details.
  • Payment Information:
    • We collect payment method details, including Card Number, Expiry Date (Month/Year), CVV, and Cardholder Name.
    • You have the option to save your card details for future transactions.
    • We record your payment choice (e.g., Pay in Full, Pay 30% Advance, or Cash on Delivery for products).
  • E-Commerce & Delivery Information:
    • When you purchase products, we collect your Cart contents, Shipping Address, and Delivery Type preferences.
  • Communications & Content:
    • Chat: We process the content of messages and media exchanged between you and Merchant Partners via the in-app chat feature.
    • Support: Information provided when you contact customer support.

b) Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Order & Booking History: We maintain a record of your appointments, product purchases, order status (e.g., Processing, Shipped, Delivered), and transaction history (including refunds or hold statuses).
  • Saved Items: We store your lists of saved Salons, Stores, and Products.
  • Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise or approximate location data to help you search for nearby salons and facilitate deliveries.
  • Usage, Cache & Technical Data: We collect information about device model, operating system, IP address, and crash logs. We also store local data (Cache) on your device to improve the App's performance and loading speed.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: To create and manage your account, verify your phone number via OTP, and enable profile customization.
  • To Process Transactions:
    • To process bookings (including split payments where you pay 30% now and the balance later).
    • To manage payment holds and process immediate refunds if a booking is not accepted by the Partner.
    • To process product orders and manage Cash on Delivery (COD) requests.
  • To Facilitate Communication:
    • To enable the chat feature between you and the Merchant Partner after a booking is confirmed.
    • To send transactional updates (e.g., "Order Confirmed," "Shipped," "Booking Accepted") via SMS, push notification, or email.
  • To Share with Partners: We share necessary details with the Merchant Partner to fulfill your request:
    • Bookings: Your name (or your Guest's name and phone number) and appointment details.
    • Products: Your name, shipping address, and phone number for delivery.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: To recommend salons or products based on your saved items and location.
  • For Safety & Security: To prevent fraud, verify card details, and secure your account.
  • For Marketing (With Consent): To send offers and updates. You can opt-out at any time.

3. Device Permissions

To provide specific features, the App may request access to the following permissions on your device:

  • Photo Library: To upload a profile picture. We only access photos you specifically select.
  • Camera: To take a profile picture directly.
  • Contacts: To allow you to easily select a friend or family member from your address book when making a booking for someone else.
  • Location: To show salons and stores near you.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • With Merchant Partners: We share booking details (including Guest info if applicable) and shipping details so Partners can provide the service or deliver the product. Partners also have access to the messages you send them via the in-app chat.
  • With Service Providers: We use third-party payment processors to securely handle card transactions (saving cards, processing split payments). We also use providers for cloud hosting and OTP delivery.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may share information if required by law or to protect the rights/safety of Beautiport, our Users, or Partners.

5. Your Rights and Choices

We provide several features in the App Settings and Actions menu to give you control over your data:

  • Account Management: You can review and update your Personal Info (Name, Gender, DOB), Addresses, and Password under the "Personal Info" and "Settings" menus.
  • App Performance (Clear Cache): You can manage your device's local storage by using the "Clear Cache" option found under App Settings. This removes temporary data stored on your device but does not delete your account.
  • Session Management (Logout): You can securely end your current session by selecting "Logout" under the Actions menu.
  • Account Deletion: You have the right to permanently delete your account and associated data. You can initiate this request by selecting "Delete Account" under the Actions menu.
  • Saved Data: You can manage or delete saved cards and remove items from your saved Salons, Stores, and Products lists.
  • Marketing: You can opt-out of promotional communications via the unsubscribe link or notification settings.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information. Payment information is processed securely in compliance with industry standards.
